Aspiration/Ambition

Been thinking about writing for a long time... But some ideas can be really difficult to express in words.

When I was in school I felt many people had aspirations. When I started working I realized many people had ambition. In my opinion aspiration and ambition are different. I feel that with aspiration, one strives toward something meaningful, and in that way the striving is not tedious, because each step one takes is intertwined with the ideal. But when someone is ambitious, the end goal is all that matters, and the means to achieve it does not matter. So if I was ambitious and wanted to make lots of money, I just had to find some way to achieve that goal, whether or not I appreciate that particular path to my goal.

I find ambition exhausting, but aspiration inspires me.
